Failed politician Beto O’Rourke has promised the Democrats will “drive the car like we stole it” when they return to power, reopening the borders and handing out mass amnesty to illegal aliens in the country.
Speaking on Saturday at an event called “The People vs the Power Grab,” the former Representative said his party must go beyond “comprehensive immigration reform.”
“We absolutely failed to live up to the expectations that we set, so next time we win power, we’re going to drive that car like we stole it,” O’Rourke said.
“We’re going to legalize every DREAMer, every DREAMer’s parents, every hardworking American doing backbreaking work that makes this country so goddamn great in the first place, even greater as US citizens.”
“Don’t let them fool you. They’re gonna try to tell you that we’re on different pages about this, that we don’t support the law —that’s crazy.”
O’Rourke went on to call for a much more direct, aggressive approach from the party.
He asked the audience to “imagine a Democratic Party that actually fights for these things, that doesn’t submit, that doesn’t bend the knee, that doesn’t roll over, that doesn’t give up before the fight has even begun.”
O’Rourke has faced legal setbacks in recent days. A judge issued a temporary restraining order against him that prevents him from fundraising for Texas Democrats who fled the state to hinder voting on a new congressional district map. The suit was brought against him by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.
