Tasnim News Agency says a projectile hit the plant’s perimeter fence, killing a staff member and causing damage to a building.
The main facility was not damaged.
Gulf news outlets are reporting that over 150 personnel working at the plant have been evacuated to Russia “via an expedited airlift.”
Bushehr is Iran’s inly operational nuclear reactor. It was brought online in 2011, with significant involvement from Russian scientists and experts.
Construction of two additional units was brought to a halt in 2016.
Two weeks ago, Infowars reported fresh strikes against the uranium-enrichment facility at Natanz, which was one of the principal targets of Operation Midnight Hammer in the summer of 2025, along with the facilities at Fordau and Isfahan.
On the same day as the latest strikes on the facility, Iran attacked Dimona in southern Israel, which is home to one of the country’s most important nuclear-research facilities.
Following the strikes on Natanz and Dimona, the director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, called for restraint.
Grossi had warned the Iran conflict could lead to a dangerous nuclear meltdown.
“We cannot rule out a possible radiological release with serious consequences, including the necessity to evacuate areas as large or larger than major cities,” Grossi said.
Other nations with nuclear sites in the region include the United Arab Emirates, which has four nuclear reactors, and Jordan and Syria.
