International criminal networks are offering significant rewards for the harming or killing of federal law enforcement in the U.S.
Amid an escalation of physical attacks on immigration officers by domestic terrorists and illegal aliens, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has revealed that bounties of up to $50,000 are being placed on the heads of top officials.
DHS says Mexican cartels are issuing “explicit instructions to U.S.-based sympathetics, including street gangs in Chicago, to monitor, harass, and assassinate federal agents.”
Communist militants and gang members have established surveillance networks to monitor the activities of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) in Chicago-area neighborhoods with large foreign populations.
Spotters on rooftops are communicating the positions of federal agents to operatives on the ground who are actively sabotaging enforcement operations via ambushes and mob attacks, DHS says.
In some cases, these spotters are armed, presenting a significant safety threat to officers.
Coordinated disruptions have enabled several criminal aliens to evade apprehension since the launch of Operation Midway Blitz last month.
DHS has released details about a “structured bounty program to incentivize violence against federal personnel, with payouts escalating based on rank and action taken,” as follows:
- $2,000 for gathering intelligence or doxxing agents (including photos and family details)
- $5,000–$10,000 for kidnapping or non-lethal assaults on standard ICE/CBP officers
- Up to $50,000 for the assassination of high-ranking officials
While cartels appear to be coordinating with gangs like the Latin Kings in Chicago, they are also allied with Antifa in Portland and other locations across the U.S. where truckloads of supplies are being delivered, agents and their families are being doxxed, and mobs are interfering with enforcement operations.
“These criminal networks are not just resisting the rule of law, they are waging an organized campaign of terror against the brave men and women who protect our borders and communities,” said DHS Secretary Kristi Noem.
“Our agents are facing ambushes, drone surveillance, and death threats, all because they dare to enforce the laws passed by Congress. We will not back down from these threats, and every criminal, terrorist, and illegal alien will face American justice.”
