During a Monday night CNN segment, the leftist outlet attacked conservative commentator Charlie Kirk for calling out the recent anti-white hate crime murder of Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska in North Carolina by a homeless black man.
CNN anchor Abby Phillip claimed “certain people have been looking for an opportunity to find a case like this to make a” racial point.

CNN then aired a video clip from Kirk’s podcast where he stated the obvious fact that “if a random white person simply walked up and stabbed a nice law-abiding black person for no reason, it would be an apocalyptically huge national story used to impose national sweeping political changes on the whole country.”
Phillip suggested Kirk is hoping to turn the tragedy into a George Floyd-type of situation, and fellow CNN host Van Jones chimed in, saying what happened to Zarutska was horrible before alleging, “We don’t know why that man did what he did.”
Jones added, “For Charlie Kirk to say, ‘We know he did it because she’s white,’ when there’s no evidence of that is just pure race-mongering, hate-mongering. It’s wrong. Then, he says if it happened the other way there would be sweeping changes imposed on society. Where is the George Floyd policing act? It didn’t pass!”
“Someone like Charlie Kirk, he should be ashamed of himself. No one mentioned the word ‘race,’ ‘white,’ ‘black,’ or anything except him,” Jones falsely stated.
Of course, the liberal CNN employees failed to mention Zarutska’s killer Decarlos Brown repeatedly said, “I got that white girl,” seconds after stabbing her to death.
Journalist Andy Ngo wrote on 𝕏, “I didn’t notice until now that the man accused of stabbing and killing the Ukrainian young woman in Charlotte, N.C. said on camera, ‘I got that white girl, got that white girl’ while walking around with her blood dripping from his knife. Nobody reacts on the train, reflecting how Americans are used to urban ultraviolence.”
Kirk responded on 𝕏, writing, “Van Jones, I’m not ashamed, but you should be. You are part of a media cabal that tried to silence this story because it exposes the gross incompetence of Democrats’ so-called ‘criminal justice reform.’ You and other talking heads on TV are complicit in the revolving door that lets these violent criminals roam our streets to maim and murder.”
“And yes of course, if the races were reversed you’d be the loudest voice crying racism, Mr. Whitelash. The killer said ‘I got that white girl.’ Why did he say that, Van?” he continued.
“Lastly, would you even be talking about this story if we hadn’t raised the issue on social media?” Kirk asked. “Of course not. Americans are sick of the lies and racial grievances built on fake news narratives. The propaganda is literally killing innocent people. Van Jones, I invite you to come on my show and we can discuss this like men, respectfully.”
Meanwhile, ZeroHedge reports, “BLM-esque activists sympathetic not to the victim but to the cold-blooded murderer launched not one but two GoFundMe fundraisers in the immediate aftermath” and the Democrat Mayor of Charlotte, North Carolina, “praised the city’s ‘media partners’ (why should media be in ‘partnership’ with government?) for refusing to air the footage.”
This type of biased coverage is why CNN is the most distrusted name in news.
