Ex-Counterterrorism Chief Joe Kent Reveals FBI Director Kash Patel Restricted His Ability To Investigate Charlie Kirk Assassination

In an interview with the Daily Caller’s Editor-in-Chief Amber Duke on Wednesday, recently resigned Trump admin National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) Director Joe Kent said FBI Director Kash Patel directly stopped his investigation into the murder of Charlie Kirk.

Kent had previously disclosed that the NCTC investigation into Kirk’s assassination was put to a halt, and stated he believes there was foreign involvement in the killing.

Now, Kent is saying he specifically spoke to Patel about the case and was told his investigation had to end.

Asked “who specifically stopped” him from investigating the murder, Kent said, “The FBI restricted our ability to investigate.”

Duke then asked, “And, did that come specifically from Director Patel?” with the ex-NCTC head responding, “It did, yeah. It was part of a discussion that he and I had back and forth, and then ultimately that was the decision that was made.”

During another portion of the interview, Kent noted certain individuals had “prior knowledge” of the assassination, which means there are “more leads” that need to be examined, including “the foreign nexus.”

“There was a lot of international attention, I’ll just say, on Charlie Kirk himself,” he added.

Why would the U.S. government shut down an investigation seeking answers about potential foreign interactions with Robinson?

Is it possible that the FBI itself and not a foreign group or government was communicating with or even coercing Robinson to engage in a violent political attack as the agency has done in numerous cases?

If the FBI or another American intelligence agency did wind up Robinson to commit a heinous act and he ended up murdering Charlie, it would explain why the feds are reportedly blocking investigations into the matter and why there is an ongoing smear campaign against anyone questioning the official narrative.

After all, while a certain faction of the MAGA movement claims people like Kent are actively trying to get Robinson acquitted by offering to testify during his trial about what he learned during the NCTC investigation, U.S. intelligence agency involvement in the murder would actually harm the prosecution’s case against the suspect.
