An illegal alien is facing a slew of charges after triggering a fatal five-vehicle wreck in Florida over the weekend, authorities say.
The tragedy unfolded just before 7:30 p.m. on Saturday night in Zephyrhills, a city in Pasco County.
Mynor Milian-Morales, 29, was driving westbound on a two-lane road when he attempted to pass another vehicle in a no-passing zone, investigators say.
When Milian-Morales swerved his Toyota Tacoma into the eastbound lane, he reportedly collided with an oncoming Subaru SUV which then struck a Chevrolet truck and Harley-Davidson motorcycle traveling westbound.
The rider of a Honda motorcycle tried to avoid the pileup but overturned in the eastbound lane.
The Harley-Davidson rider, who has only been identified as a 51-year-old male from Zephyrhills, succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital, Fox 13 reports.
The driver of the Subaru, a 62-year-old male, reportedly suffered serious injuries while his 62-year-old female passenger was unscathed.
The driver of the Chevrolet truck and Honda motorcycle rider sustained minor injuries.
Milian-Morales was also treated for minor injuries and taken into custody.
Milian-Morales was identified as an illegal alien from Guatemala. His blood alcohol content measured 0.106, authorities say.
He was booked into Pasco County Jail on charges including DUI manslaughter, driving without a license resulting in death, and multiple DUI-related injury and property damage charges.
An investigation is ongoing.
