Heavy Combat, Ethnic Cleansing Continues in Syria After Wednesday’s Ceasefire Fails

News commentator Brigitte Gabriel covered how Christians are being executed in Syria as well, but only the plight of the Druze are being discussed due to their alliance with Israel.

News commentator Syrian Girl announced that these developments herald the onset of the "REAL" Syrian Civil War.

The conflict continues in the Southern Syrian province of Suwayda on Friday in lieu of Wednesday’s ceasefire announcement between the country’s new ‘diversity friendly’ jihadist government and the Islamic-adjacent Druze militants.

Intense fighting took place between Bedouin tribes and the Druze militants. Notably, the new Al Qaeda-like government tentatively backs the Bedouin tribes while Israel vocally backs the Druze militants.

News commentator Brigitte Gabriel covered how Christians are being executed in Syria as well, but only the plight of the Druze are being discussed due to their alliance with Israel.

While the new Syrian government was a signatory to the ceasefire, after the country’s troops pulled out of the area the fighting resumed.

The Druze are an Islamic-adjacent group, not a Jewish minority despite their Israeli support. According to Reuters:

The Druze are an Arab minority who practice a religion originally derived from Islam. They live in Lebanon, Syria, Israel and the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights, holding a distinctive position in the region’s mosaic of faiths and cultures.

In Syria, they are mostly based in the southern province of Sweida, although other communities live around Damascus and in northern Syria.

The Druze have a close-knit identity and distinctive monotheistic faith that emerged in the 11th century and incorporates elements from Islam and other philosophies, emphasizing monotheism, reincarnation and the pursuit of truth.

They maintain a degree of secrecy around their religious practice.

Israel has a small Druze community and some Druze also live in the Golan Heights, which Israel captured from Syria in the 1967 Six-Day war.

Friday’s clashes are “pitting tribal fighters and Bedouin supported by the authorities on one side, against Druze fighters on the other,” the United Kingdom-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported.

Fighters are now pouring into Syria to ‘back up’ the locals.

AlJazeera reported on the direct Israeli military operations:

This comes after an Israeli official, who declined to be named, told reporters that “in light of the ongoing instability in southwest Syria, Israel has agreed to allow limited entry of the [Syrian] internal security forces into Suwayda district for the next 48 hours”.

Israel, which on Wednesday carried out heavy air attacks on Suwayda and the Syrian capital, had previously warned Damascus to withdraw from the south. The government condemned the Israeli attacks as a violation of Syrian sovereignty and an attempt to sow division and chaos in the country.
