A counter-protester loudly heckled ex-MSNBC host Joy Reid while she hosted a Democrat event protesting President Donald Trump’s 2026 State of the Union address Tuesday.
In viral footage from the “People’s State of the Union” protest, The Blaze correspondent Sara Gonzales blasted Reid as a “loser,” while a tall transgender man held out his hands attempting to block her.
“Joy Reid you suck! You’re a loser! MSNBC fired you because you’re a loser! You suck!” Gonzales shouted, as the host introduced notorious illegal alien Kilmar Abrego Garcia.

“America First!” she continued. “You can’t even get a sizable crowd! No one’s here! It’s empty! It’s empty!”
“You’re all mentally ill,” Gonzales told the crowd, adding, “You’re simping for a criminal!”
Eventually, one of the leftists walked up to Gonzales telling her she was violating their rights, as several Capitol Police officers told her to refrain from causing “commotion,” before asking her to leave.
“I don’t need any arguments right now,” the officer told Gonzales. “No fighting. They’re having their demonstration. There’s no need to cause commotion right now. You have an opinion. That’s perfectly fine. Take it elsewhere, but they organized this. You did not. Understand?”
Gonzales was led away, remarking, “My tax dollars at work is police officers getting in my face.”
A triggered Reid later responded to Gonzales with an expletive directed to “MAGA trolls,” saying “To paraphrase Robert De Niro ‘Fuck y’all.'”
