CBS News reviewed the 11 hours of surveillance footage from inside the NYC prison where infamous pedophile Jeffrey Epstein died, finding several oddities including a mysterious “orange blob” appearing near his cell on the night he passed away.
Many internet users are speculating the orange blur may have been an inmate’s jumpsuit, meaning a fellow prisoner could have been walking towards Epstein’s cell at the 10:40 p.m. mark on the surveillance tape.
The New York Post reported, “Federal investigators previously concluded the pixelated blob was a corrections officer ‘carrying linen or inmate clothing,’ but forensic experts who spoke to the network as part of an investigation into the jail video now suspect it may have actually been a jumpsuit-clad inmate.”
CBS’ investigation also found the staircase leading to Epstein’s cell was almost entirely out of the camera’s view, which contrasts with the DOJ’s assertion that the video would show anyone leaving or entering the area where he was held.
“The footage also doesn’t appear to be raw, with the outlet reporting it’s likely a screen recording — evidenced by a cursor and menu visible on the screen. The video feed also skipped ahead a full minute just before midnight, and its aspect ratio abruptly shifted,” the Post added.
The CBS analysis of the footage comes as President Trump biographer Michael Wolff recently claimed Epstein was suspicious of Trump being the person who tipped off the FBI about his underage girl sex trafficking and blackmail operation.
The Trump administration is also currently embroiled in a controversy about its handling of the Epstein files and prison footage.
