Antifa leftists in Portland clashed with police on Thursday as they protested Border Patrol agents shooting two individuals with suspected ties to the terrorist Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua earlier in the day.
DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin detailed how a targeted Border Patrol traffic stop resulted in the shooting, explaining officers were looking to apprehend suspected Tren de Aragua prostitute Yorlenys Betzabeth Zambrano-Contreras.
Zambrano-Contreras was in the passenger seat of the vehicle, which was driven by a suspected Tren de Aragua gang member who allegedly tried to run over BP agents during the traffic stop.
Similar to the deadly incident in Minnesota earlier this week where an ICE agent shot and killed 37-year-old Renee N. Good, officers in Portland opened fire on the vehicle as it sped toward them.
The suspects, who are believed to be illegal aliens, “drove five miles” and called 911 after being shot, with both currently recovering in an Oregon hospital.
DHS posted images of the suspects on social media, saying they were “let loose on American streets by Joe Biden.”
