Update (Sept. 2, 3:06 p.m. CT): During a press conference Tuesday, President Donald Trump was asked about the open window at the White House and the object seen being thrown out.
Trump dismissed the footage as AI-generated, joking if something bad ever happens it can be blamed on AI, but went on to explain the windows are unable to be opened and are very heavy.
“No, that’s probably AI-generated. You can’t open the windows. They’re all heavily-armored. I know every window up there. The last place I’d be doing it is there,” Trump told Fox News reporter Peter Doocy, adding, “They’re sealed, and each window weighs about 600 pounds.”

Footage going viral over the weekend showed a mysterious object being hurled out of a window at the White House, with many online asking what it could be.
The video, shot over the Labor Day weekend, featured an open window on an upper level of the White House where a person inside was seen throwing out a large object.
Mediaite noted the windows on the White House aren’t allowed to be open for security reasons, however, The Daily Mail reported Trump was not at the presidential mansion over the holiday and was instead golfing in Virginia.
Leftists worked themselves into a frenzy trying to explain the video, with some claiming it was evidence of Trump’s ill health, the administration destroying the Epstein files, or Melania having a bad day.
“Given that women usually throw things out of windows, would safe to say that this is a very mad female… and females do this when they really want answers,” one X user speculated according to the Mail, adding, “Was Melania in Washington DC today?”
However, other users noted the White House is currently undergoing various renovations and restorations.
The lack of security on the roof indicates the president is not in residence. These are most likely contractors working on a project.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, a White House official confirmed the window was opened by “a contractor who was doing regular maintenance while the president was gone.”
As for rumors the president is covering up health issues, Trump addressed his health on Truth Social over the weekend, declaring, “NEVER FELT BETTER IN MY LIFE.”
