A 22-year-old man in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was arrested last Friday after allegedly approaching a 94-year-old woman on her porch before brutally raping her.
The incident unfolded last Thursday around 2:10 p.m., as police “responded to a call regarding a sexual assault that involved a 94-year-old woman.”

According to the newly filed arrest warrant, the victim was sitting on her rocking chair on her front porch when Taylor approached her from the driveway. He is heard on security video calling her beautiful and then exposing his penis. As she tries to get away, police say the suspect follows her into the carport, pushes her down, and rapes her.
The victim remains hospitalized and reportedly suffered multiple broken bones in the brazen broad daylight attack, of which prosecutors reportedly have “an overwhelming amount of evidence including video,” according to WBRZ.
SVU detectives asked for the public’s help and identified Jeremiah Taylor as the suspect, with police taking him into custody the next day and noting he had a criminal history of “Simple Burglary, First Degree Rape, Second Degree Battery and Theft.”
He was re-booked on new charges of “First Degree Rape, Second Degree Battery, Cruelty to the Infirm and Obscenity.”
On Monday, WAFB shocked no one by reporting Taylor just had a separate rape charge against him dismissed last month by the East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney’s Office, which claimed it couldn’t prosecute the case because it couldn’t locate the victim.
“On the same day Taylor was re-arrested, a different victim had filed a protective order against him,” reported WAFB.
Taylor also appears to have an extensive history of sexual violence, with multiple women telling WBRZ that he’d stalked or tried to attack them, with some of the confrontations caught on video.
“The seriousness of these crimes and the repeat nature of the conduct exposes the defendant to the most severe penalties available under Louisiana law, including life imprisonment,” East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney Hillar Moore stated, calling the attack “deeply disturbing” and saying it “represents the kind of violent crime that shocks the conscience of our entire community.”
One neighbor commenting on the attack told WAFB, “It’s just horrible. You know, Satan is busy. Stuff like this don’t usually happen around here. You know, everybody looks out, and there was a sweet woman.”
“They shouldn’t have let him out,” another neighbor stated. “You got more time for drugs than you do for stuff like that, son. For real. They got to get the system together.”
