President Donald Trump said Wednesday he’d go after billions of stolen taxpayer money in states such as Minnesota and California during a New Year’s Eve bash at Mar-a-Lago.

Referring to recent fraud reports by Somali scammers in Minnesota, Trump told a crowd, “Can you imagine? They stole $18 billion.

That’s just what we’re learning about. That’s peanuts. In California it’s worse, Illinois it’s worse. And sadly New York is worse. And a lot of other places, so we’re going to get to the bottom of all of it. It was a giant scam. Other than that we’re going to have a great new year.”

“Actually, I view that as the reason for a good year because we’re going to the bottom of it and we’re gonna get that money back. It’s all coming back.

Trump’s remarks came amid New Year’s Eve festivities at the Winter White House, where the president arrived with the First Lady in tow.

An image of Jesus Christ speed-painted by artist Vanessa Horabuena also fetched $2.75 million during the event, with 50% reportedly going to St. Jude’s Hospital and the other half going to the local sheriff’s department.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was also spotted at the event.

Asked his New Year’s resolution, Trump responded, “Peace on Earth.”
