Following his Pursuing Peace summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska on Friday, President Donald Trump is set to meet Ukrainian Dictator Vladimir Zelensky and various European leaders at the White House at noon eastern on Monday. During Monday’s summit, Trump will attempt to negotiate a peace settlement that both Russia and the West will agree to. The major disagreement regards Ukrainian land cessions.

The Dictator currently refuses to accept the peace deal’s stipulations:
According to the U.S. president, a settlement would require “no getting back… Crimea” and “no going into NATO by Ukraine.”
The Ukrainian leader responded on X 90 minutes later, stressing his unwillingness to compromise to end hostilities.
Not Ukraine, but “Russia must end this war, which it itself started. And I hope that our joint strength with America, with our European friends, will force Russia into a real peace,” he insisted.
The Dictator issued a series of statements on Sunday reaffirming his non-negotiability.
Grateful to all participants of the Coalition of the Willing for the conversation today in Brussels – ahead of the meeting in Washington with President Trump. It was very useful. We continue to coordinate our joint positions. Clear support for Ukraine’s independence and sovereignty. Everyone agrees that state borders must not be changed by force. Everyone supports that key issues should be resolved with Ukraine’s participation in a trilateral format: Ukraine, the USA, and the Russian leader. This is a historic decision that the United States is ready to participate in security guarantees for Ukraine. The security guarantees resulting from our joint work must be truly practical and provide protection on land, in the air, and at sea, and they must also be developed with Europe’s participation. Of course, we discussed how to stop the killings as soon as possible. We are working on a shared vision of what a peace agreement should look like – truly fair, swift, and effective. Thank you!
Today in Brussels, I outlined our positions on transatlantic unity, peace efforts, territorial issues, and security guarantees, including Ukraine’s EU accession. It’s crucial that Europe remains as united as it was in 2022. This strong unity is essential to achieve a real peace.
“On Monday, I will meet with President Trump in Washington, D.C., to discuss all of the details regarding ending the killing and the war,” Zelensky said Saturday.
We had a long and substantive conversation with @POTUS. We started with one-on-one talks before inviting European leaders to join us. This call lasted for more than an hour and a half, including about an hour of our bilateral conversation with President Trump.

The details to end the war were laid out by President Trump in a post on Saturday. They include ceding territory and not joining NATO, two things Ukraine’s Dictator has been staunchly against. These stipulations are not new, Trump has been trying to convince the Dictator to go along with them since March.
President Zelenskyy of Ukraine can end the war with Russia almost immediately, if he wants to, or he can continue to fight. Remember how it started. No getting back Obama given Crimea (12 years ago, without a shot being fired!), and NO GOING INTO NATO BY UKRAINE. Some things never change!!!

Notably, Trump said after a nearly three hour in-person meeting with Putin during the Pursuing Peace summit’s press conference that in order to secure a peace deal the other parties (Zelensky and European leaders) must be in agreement.
In addition to Ukraine’s Dictator, President of the European Union Commission Ursula von der Leyen, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Finnish President Alexander Stubb will all be in attendance at the White House on Monday.
This afternoon, I will welcome @ZelenskyyUa in Brussels.

Together, we will participate in the Coalition of Willing VTC.
At the request of President Zelenskyy, I will join the meeting with President Trump and other European leaders in the White House tomorrow.
The European leaders are expected to arrive at noon eastern. At 1:00 to 1:15 pm eastern Trump and Zelensky are set to meet each other and will hold a meeting in the Oval Office. Vice President JD Vance is expected to attend this meeting. Notably, the last time those three met in the White House a fiery argument began after the Dictator disrespected America in the President’s house.
Trump will then greet other European leaders in the State Dining Room at 2:00 to 2:30. The serious meeting gets underway at 3:00 pm when Trump, the European leaders and the Dictator begin the formal meeting in the East Room of the White House.
When Zelensky met with Trump at the White House in February, he wore his customary black dictator outfit. There is speculation that Ukraine’s leader may wear a “suit-type” outfit for Monday’s encounter.
Axios detailed the sartorial expectations of Zelensky:
The sources said Zelensky will show up at the White House on Monday wearing the same black jacket he wore to a NATO summit in the Netherlands in June. “It is going to be ‘suit-style’ but not a full suit,” one of the sources said.
While it’s not expected that the Dictator will wear a necktie during Monday’s meeting, The NATO summit was the first time Zelensky wore a normal suit since the 2022 invasion.
On Monday morning the President issued a series of posts regarding his accomplishments stemming from his agenda of peace.
