Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) has demanded the appointment of a Special Counsel to investigate, and potentially prosecute the Department of Justice for its role in the coverup of disgraced financier and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
“A Special Counsel is what seems to be what the American people are calling for,” said Luna to journalist Benny Johnson Thursday. “Give information that does not implicate the victims… whatever it might be, put it on the archives and let the American people decide for themselves.”
“That is the only way to restore trust, I want to believe there isn’t systemic corruption at the DOJ but unfortunately I’ve been in Congress and I’ve seen how the DOJ operates.”

“If we don’t fix it, it’s going to hurt the American people. It has been deafening how many members of congress have been silent on this.
Wrapping up her statement, Luna made it clear that she believes President Trump is not on the Epstein client list.
“I’m very positive of that,” said Luna. “Because if he was, they would have released it during the election cycle.”
On Tuesday, Luna urged the DOJ to release more information on Epstein, saying Americans “deserve” the truth and should be free to come to their own conclusions on the case.
