President Donald Trump made a bizarre comment outside the White House on Monday, telling a PBS reporter that the Iranian people are “upset” when they “don’t hear bombs going off.”
“They want to hear bombs because they want to be free,” he said.

“And the only reason they’re not out protesting, you know that, is because they were informed that if they protest, like the wrestler and his friends, if they protest they will be shot immediately! That’s an edict, that’s in writing,” Trump added.
He also alleged he predicted that the Iranian group the U.S. sent weapons to arm the masses so they could engage in an uprising against their government would keep the guns, which they reportedly did.
“They’re gonna pay a big price for that,” he told the group that kept the American firearms.
While it’s true that many of the Iranian people dislike their government officials, it’s absurd to claim they are enjoying the bombs going off in their cities and their bridges and infrastructure being decimated.
