Norris’ family announced his “sudden passing” on Instagram Friday morning, saying they wanted to keep the circumstances surrounding his death private.

Norris had been hospitalized on Thursday due to a mysterious medical emergency, with initial reports stating he was “in good spirits.”
The beloved Walker: Texas Ranger actor had just posted a video to Instagram 10 days ago celebrating his 86th birthday.
Norris grew even more popular when his immense strength became a hilarious punchline in the early days of the internet.

The American film icon, who starred alongside martial arts legend Bruce Lee in the 1972 film The Way of The Dragon, was evidently a vocal supporter of Israel, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu released a statement lamenting his passing.
