Image Credit: infowars composite Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) made some massive blunders on the world stage over the weekend, at one point falsely telling an audience that the South American nation of Venezuela is below the equator.
AOC’s basic geography fail came as she criticized the Trump administration’s military operation in Venezuela last month that decapitated dictator Nicolas Maduro.
Speaking at the Technical University of Berlin’s TEDx event on Sunday, Ocasio-Cortez said, “We look at what happened in Venezuela for example, it is not a remark on who Maduro was as a leader. He canceled elections, he was an anti-democratic leader, that doesn’t mean that we can kidnap a head of state and engage in acts of war just because the nation is below the equator.”
Maps show the ditzy Democrat is dead wrong, with the entire nation of Venezuela firmly north of the equator.
🚨 LMAO! AOC has AGAIN made a fool out of herself on stage saying that we can’t capture leaders like Maduro in Venezuela “just because the nation is south of the equator”

NONE of Venezuela is south of the equator
PLEASE run in 2028, AOC 🤣🔥 pic.twitter.com/s1eVL0BkXt
That wasn’t all.
Facts again got in the way when AOC attempted to mock comments made by Secretary of State Marco Rubio Saturday at the Munich Security Conference, where he said Spanish colonists essentially invented modern cowboy culture while explaining how the US would “always be a child of Europe.”
“Rubio’s speech was a pure appeal to western culture,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “My favorite part was when [he said] that American cowboys came from Spain. And I believe the Mexicans and descendants of African enslaved peoples would like to have a word on that.”

"You are starting to see the ascent of the Right, even in places like Munich. Marco Rubio’s speech was a pure appeal to Western culture."

Once again, the former bartender-turned-prospective Democrat presidential candidate was gravely mistaken.
As the Daily Caller explains, “Horses were brought over to Mexico by Spanish conquistador Hernán Cortés in 1519 during the invasion of the Aztec Empire, and later settlers trained indigenous populations to wrangle cattle on horseback to maintain their ranches in places like Texas, Arizona and New Mexico.”
AOC wasn’t all blunders.
Like a broken clock right twice a day, she actually made a decent point when she said Attorney General Pam Bondi should hold pedophiles accountable or resign.
Speaking at a university in Berlin, Rep. @AOC just called for Pam Bondi's resignation over the Epstein files: "You are the Attorney General of the United States of America and you don't want to hold anyone of these pedophiles accountable? Resign or be impeached!" pic.twitter.com/UKvpY61yw3
