A man dressed in women’s clothing fatally shot two members of his family and injured three more at a hockey rink in Rhode Island, before turning the gun on himself, local media reported Monday.
The incident unfolded at a boys high school hockey game Monday afternoon in Pawtucket, with police reporting the shooting was an isolated incident and related to a family dispute.
Harrowing footage shows the game was being played when shots rang out, causing chaos as students scrambled for safety.

“All students from the Coventry Boys Hockey team who were present at an incident at Lynch Arena in Pawtucket have been accounted for and are safe,” the school’s superintendent reported.
According to NBC affiliate WJAR, the suspect was wearing a woman’s dress:
NBC 10’s Dan Jaehnig reported, citing a law enforcement source, that the suspect was a father, who may have been dressed in women’s clothing, and that he intentionally targeted family members who were at the hockey game.
Images circulating on social media purport to show the suspect wearing a pink tank top, though it’s unclear if the particular image is from the latest happening.

The shooting left the man’s wife dead, with his daughter later dying at the hospital.
“We have three people that were also injured that are at the hospital,” Pawtucket Police Chief Tina Goncalves told the press, describing the shooting as a “targeted event.”
The three victims in the hospital are reportedly in critical condition.
The identities of the shooter and the victims have not yet been released.
In a WCVB report, a woman leaving the police station told reporters, “My father was the shooter,” adding, “He shot my family, and he’s dead now.”
The daughter said her father “has mental health issues.”
