Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard on Friday highlighted new evidence showing ex-President Barack Obama and former members of the intelligence community worked to undermine Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign and administration.
According to the ODNI, the new evidence “demonstrates how, after President Trump won the 2016 election against Hillary Clinton, President Obama and his national security cabinet members manufactured and politicized intelligence to lay the groundwork for what was essentially a years-long coup against President Trump.”
Gabbard posted the evidence in an X thread, remarking, “These documents detail a treasonous conspiracy by officials at the highest levels of the Obama White House to subvert the will of the American people and try to usurp the President from fulfilling his mandate,” and adding she’d referred the documents to the Justice Department for prosecution.
For months preceding the 2016 election, the Intelligence Community shared a consensus view: Russia lacked the intent and capability to hack U.S. elections.

Gabbard’s report comes as a CIA memo last month also concluded high-level Obama administration officials colluded to manipulate intelligence amid the Russiagate saga in efforts to smear President Donald Trump.
“All the world can now see the truth: Brennan, Clapper and Comey manipulated intelligence and silenced career professionals — all to get Trump,” CIA Director John Ratcliffe wrote on X.
Trump previously reacted to reports that the FBI launched a criminal probe into Brennan and Comey, saying, “they’re very dishonest people.”
“I think they’re crooked as hell…And, maybe they have to pay a price for that,” Trump told reporters, adding, “I believe they are truly bad people and dishonest people. So, whatever happens, happens.”
