Top Labour MP Bridget Phillipson admitted during a recent Sky News interview that she believes the rights of “asylum seekers” are more important than the rights of her own constituents.
Phillipson, the UK Education Secretary, insisted the Home Office was correct in stating migrant rights should be prioritized over citizens’ rights in Epping, Essex.

Sky News anchor Trevor Phillips said to Phillipson, “Your lawyers under your guidance have said in terms that the rights of asylum seekers are more important than the rights of local people in Epping Forest. Would you at least acknowledge that that is what they will hear? It’s up to you. Ministers can say, ‘We agree with that, or we don’t agree with it.’ You can’t simply say, ‘Let’s balance things.’ Do you agree with what your lawyers said, or don’t you?”
The MP responded, “Yes, of course we do.”
Former UK MP Andrew Bridgen responded on 𝕏, “British citizens officially have less rights than an illegal migrants. Labour Minister Bridget Phillipson admits it on live TV. How does that make you feel ? Well it certainly explains a lot.”
