Dr. Andrew Huberman just confirmed a “wild conspiracy theory” about incandescent lights and LED bulbs.

The long wavelengths found in incandescents increase your metabolism and “charge your mitochondria.”
Conversely, the LED bulbs that most of you have in your house are “causing… https://t.co/JdGPg1fso4 pic.twitter.com/8F10yn7qOj
Dr. Huberman explained that long wavelength light, which is present in incandescent bulbs, has been shown in studies to help human mitochondria function, increase adenosine triphosphate (ATP) production and increase metabolism.
Meanwhile, the doctor said LED lights now commonly found in homes, stores and other indoor locations use short wavelength light that could be harmful to mitochondria, according to studies.
“That short wavelength light in the absence of long wavelength light has been shown to damage the mitochondria,” he said. “There’s kind of a niche group online, different from the butthole sunners, that are very bullish about this idea that the switch from incandescents to LEDs – and not just screens, but general lighting – is causing disruptions in mitochondrial function.”
“This used to be considered crazy. This was like chemtrail crazy, right? But now we’re starting to see from animal studies and human studies, from Glenn Jeffery and others, that people’s vision gets better when they get in front of an incandescent bulb once a day, if they get sunlight, which also has long wavelength light. Your vision improves because of improvements in mitochondria.”
Dr. Huberman also said incandescent bulb and sun exposure helps with blood glucose regulation.
For over a decade, Infowars has warned of potentially dangerous side effects of fluorescent and LED bulbs, and opposed government-mandated bans on incandescent bulbs.
