Essentially covering up for a reported rapist and murderer, local Los Angeles, California news station KTLA intentionally left out the fact that the suspect is also an illegal alien from El Salvador.

“The family of the teen allegedly killed by his soccer coach is suing L.A. County and the city of L.A. for failing to perform a background check on the coach who is said to have subjected the boy to grooming and sexual abuse,” KTLA wrote on 𝕏.

“Family of teen allegedly murdered by soccer coach suing Los Angeles County, city of L.A.” reads the outlet’s headline.

Meanwhile, as 𝕏 user @Dapper_Det noted, “Of course KTLA omits that this ‘soccer coach’, 43-year-old Mario Edgardo Garcia-Aquino, who brutally raped and then murdered this 13-year-old boy is an illegal alien from El Salvador, was living under Gavin Newsom’s sanctuary laws. You cannot hate the mainstream media enough.”

Family of the 7th grade victim, Oscar Omar Hernandez, believed his coach Garcia-Aquino was a suspect because he was the last person to see the child.

When the coach was arrested for a separate sexual assault case after Hernandez went missing in March, L.A. County District Attorney Nathan Hochman charged him with one count of “murder with the special circumstance allegation of murder during the commission or attempted commission of lewd acts with a child” on April 7th.

The Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled the death a homicide caused by alcohol poisoning.

According to Oscar’s brother Daniel at a Monday press conference, Garcia-Aquino should have already been arrested but the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office was behind on filing charges on a pair of previous criminal complaints against Garcia Aquino.

The DA’s office blamed a backlog of cases for the issue.

The coach could face the death penalty since L.A. County DA Nathan Hochman ended a moratorium on execution as a punishment in March of this year.
