Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard is once again under attack from the neocons as they attempt to drive her from the Trump administration. After the controversial resignation of Joe Kent as director of the National Counterterrorism Center, Gabbard made it clear that she did not share Kent’s perspective regarding the War with Iran.
“Donald Trump was overwhelmingly elected by the American people to be our President and Commander in Chief… After carefully reviewing all the information before him, President Trump concluded that the terrorist Islamist regime in Iran posed an imminent threat and he took action based on that conclusion,” Gabbard wrote in an X post.
Gabbard appeared before Congress where she continued to valiantly defend President Trump’s policy and spoke to the early success of his efforts against the Islamic terrorist government of Iran.
“The [intelligence community] assesses that the regime in Iran appears to be intact but largely degraded due to attacks on its leadership and military capabilities. Its conventional military power-projection capabilities have largely been destroyed, leaving limited options. Iran’s strategic position has been significantly degraded,” Gabbard said.
“The US-led maximum pressure campaign and snapback of European sanctions added additional pressure to an already bleak Iranian economy, resulting in mass protests earlier this year that Tehran suppressed by killing thousands of protesters. Even if the regime remains intact, the IC assesses that internal tensions are likely to increase as Iran’s economy worsens,” she continued.
“Even so, Iran and its proxies continue to attack US and allied interests in the Middle East. The IC assesses that if a hostile regime survives, it will likely seek to begin a years-long effort to rebuild its military missiles and UAV forces,” Gabbard added.
Nevertheless, the attacks against Gabbard persist. The Murdoch-owned Wall Street Journal accused her of running a “resistance shop” against President Trump through the DNI because she hired Dan Caldwell, a former aide to Secretary of War Pete Hegseth who was baselessly accused of leaking and then run out of the administration as part of a neocon-led purge last year.
The rumor mill on X is claiming that Gabbard has one foot out the door and is waiting in the weeds looking for the opportune time to resign and stab President Trump in the back. Nothing could be further from the truth. Gabbard is locked in at the position of DNI and involved in the most substantial work to bring about true reform to the deep state.
It may seem like ancient history now, but in July 2025, Gabbard ordered the release of a damning tranche of documents showing how the Russia-gate coup against President Trump was ordered from the highest echelons of the Obama regime.
The documents declassified by the DNI’s office showed that the faulty intelligence community (IC) assessment framing President Trump as a Russian asset was ordered during a Dec. 2016 meeting of the National Security Council at the direct request of President Obama. The effort was waged despite the IC’s determination that Russia was “probably not trying … to influence the election by using cyber means” and after post-election talking points were developed for DNI James Clapper stating that “foreign adversaries did not use cyberattacks on election infrastructure to alter the US Presidential election outcome.”
Gabbard’s disclosures were among the most consequential of any that have been released during President Trump’s second term, but they have yet to amount to serious consequences for those who were implicated. It was no coincidence that she arrived in person to oversee the raid of election documents in the fraud center of Fulton County, Georgia as well. Still, no Obama or Clinton associates have been charged for any Russiagate-related offenses at the present moment despite the abundance of overwhelming evidence. Gabbard is one of the few who remains steadfastly dedicated to bringing these criminals to justice, ignoring the noise and keeping her diligent focus on the goal.
This is why she has been the most frequently attacked of anyone in the Trump administration by establishment Republicans who accurately see her as an existential threat to the status quo. In Sept. 2025, Gabbard was blamed by the New York Times and Axios for no criminal charges being filed against CIA Director John Brennan because Gabbard wisely removed security clearances for disgraced deep state hacks – an absurd notion that is laughable on its face. RINO U.S. Sen. Tom Cotton of Arkansas is also leading a disgraceful effort to strip the DNI of its authority, giving unrestrained power to CIA and NSA bureaucrats free of Gabbard’s oversight.
MAGA must rally around Gabbard against the unhinged attacks coming her way. If they are successful in removing her as DNI, the work to bring Russia-gate criminals, election fraudsters and other deep state criminals to justice will be severely and perhaps fatally undermined. The attacks against Gabbard are part of a subversion attempt to drive all truly America First patriots from the administration, and this must be repelled for MAGA to achieve full success. Gabbard is as indispensable within the administration as any other person besides the Commander-in-Chief himself, and the grassroots must ensure she remains in her crucial role.
