GOP Texas Senator Ted Cruz blasted journalist Tucker Carlson on 𝕏 Monday, alleging he “shills for Iran” and has a “hatred for Israel.”
Responding to Tucker’s recent interview with America-born Russian Orthodox nun Mother Agapia Stephanopoulos, Cruz wrote, “It is very sad what has happened to @TuckerCarlson He now routinely attacks Trump, shills for Iran & doesn’t bother to hide his all-consuming hatred for Israel. Tragic.”
During one portion of the discussion, Stephanopoulos detailed the modern Christian Zionist beliefs that support Israel abusing and killing Christians in the Holy Land.
A Tucker Carlson Network social media post blamed “Ted Cruz’s Christian Zionism” for contributing to the deaths of Israeli and Palestinian Christians.
Carlson noted that Ted Cruz and Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson often talk about being Christians, and asked why they aren’t speaking out against their brothers in Christ being mistreated.
“Self-described evangelicals like Ted Cruz and Mike Johnson have no interest in how Israel treats Christians. Mother Agapia Stephanopoulos has spent years living in the region. They should listen to her,” Carlson wrote on 𝕏.
