Image Credit: fox news screenshot Ex-FBI Co-Deputy Director Dan Bongino joined Fox News’ podcast Hang Out With Sean Hannity on Tuesday, claiming he’s “scared” of the “bad” faction of the agency retaliating against him for trying to weed out Deep State actors in the intelligence community.
“I will never be the same,” Bongino told Hannity of his time in the FBI. “I’m being serious as a stroke right now. Look, I’m scared man. I know what I did and I’m proud of my work and I’m proud of what me and Kash accomplished, beyond proud. I know what’s coming, I know what I started…”
The former top FBI official mentioned recent DOJ indictments as things he “started” while working at the Bureau.

The DOJ indicted the SPLC earlier this week and former FBI Director James Comey was indicted on Tuesday, in addition to Dr. David Morens, who was Dr. Anthony Fauci’s top advisor at NIAID that helped with the Covid cover-up.
“They’re gonna come for me,” Bongino added, saying he knew what he was getting into. The former Kash Patel underling also noted he brought in his own attorney during his time in the agency to ensure he did everything “by the book,” but that it wouldn’t matter because his enemies “will rewrite the book.”
Continuing, Bongino told Hannity he’s worried that “some thugs” will be sent to his house if a Democrat is elected president in the next election.
During another part of his conversation with Hannity, Bongino said, “There were two FBIs,” one being guys who bust their ass and do great work, and the other side “populated with snakes.”
A major dilemma he faced while trying to help Patel run the FBI was not knowing if his coworkers were with “the good FBI or the bad FBI.”
Regarding one “bad FBI” agent, the former co-deputy director said the individual told him it’s too “risky” to arrest violent criminals.
To find out who was leaking information, Patel and Bongino would play a “little game” where they added fake innocuous details about their schedules and other things and selectively shared the information with different officials so they’d know who the rat was when false information appeared in the media.
