Dr. Anthony Fauci claimed that the proliferation of conspiracy theories on social media could precipitate the collapse of democracy.
The former Covid advisor gave his warning during a talk at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in October, saying he was concerned by the “normalization of untruths.”
“That is different than the normalization of untruths and conspiracy theories and crazy things that are going on now that I don’t need to explain to you, turn your television on of going to social media and you’ll see it,” Fauci told the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in October.

“We’re dealing in very, very difficult times. What one can do about it is, to the extent possible, push back on the misinformation and disinformation. Do not accept the normalization of untruths as something that’s normal,” a frustrated Fauci stated.
Fauci, who’s largely been associated with the Covid jab rollout, went on to claim that one untrue “conspiracy” is that more people have died from the vaccine than Covid itself.
“You know, social media, they just spout out these things that are absolutely untrue, from things as ridiculous that COVID vaccines have killed more people than COVID. I mean, the data doesn’t mean anything.”
The ex-NIH head went on to say the truth gets swept over by repeated lies, making it difficult for the layperson to discern what’s true or false, and ominously concludes that the lies could topple democracy.
“And when people say that and it gets amplified on social media, the people who are not like us who do it for a living, they see that. And when you normalize untruths, then no one knows what…is really true.”
“And guess what? When you look at history, when that happens, that’s when democracies fall apart.”
Of course, it was Fauci’s “untruths” about masks, social distancing and vaccines that harmed the nation during the Covid outbreak, spreading confusion and fear, destroying the economy and ultimately injecting unwitting patients with experimental mRNA jabs known to have a myriad of adverse reactions, including death.
