Update: ICE agents and police officers can be seen leaving the scene of the incident as violent leftists pelt them with snowballs.
A woman who tried to run over ICE officers with her car was shot and killed by federal agents on Wednesday, causing a massive crowd of leftist demonstrators to surround the crime scene and shout at the immigration officials.
See the moment an ICE agent shot the unidentified woman as she drove her vehicle toward him:
“Today, ICE officers in Minneapolis were conducting targeted operations when rioters began blocking ICE officers and one of these violent rioters weaponized her vehicle, attempting to run over our law enforcement officers in an attempt to kill themâan act of domestic terrorism,” the DHS wrote on social media.
The DHS post continued, “An ICE officer, fearing for his life, the lives of his fellow law enforcement and the safety of the public, fired defensive shots. He used his training and saved his own life and that of his fellow officers. The alleged perpetrator was hit and is deceased. The ICE officers who were hurt are expected to make full recoveries.”
Homeland Security also accurately noted the vehicle attack is “the direct consequence of constant attacks and demonization of our officers by sanctuary politicians who fuel and encourage rampant assaults on our law enforcement who are facing 1,300% increase in assaults against them and an 8,000% increase in death threats.”
While the incident will likely further embolden anti-ICE individuals and politicians, the woman’s blood is on the hands of Democrats and the mainstream media who have fueled hatred of federal immigration employees.
Freedomnews.tv captured footage from the scene showing a decent sized crowd of protesters screeching at officers.
One demonstrator was shot in the face with a non-lethal round after being shoved by a law enforcement officer at the scene.
