Muckraker CEO and journalist Anthony Rubin spoke with Somalians outside of the Global Mall in Columbus, Ohio, this week after seeing an anti-ICE flyer on the building.
When Rubin and his cameraman approached the building to ask about the poster, a group of Somalis came out and began shouting at them.

At the Global Mall in Columbus, Ohio, we saw a poster that said "NO ICE."
After we took a photo of the poster, we were swarmed.

An elderly Somalian man screamed, “You are racists. You are evil-doers! You are bad Christians. You are bad Jews. You are terrorists!”
Continuing, the man yelled, “You hate Islam! Islam is coming to America! One day, America will become a Muslim state, a Muslim country! Tell Trump!”
When Rubin pushed back, saying that will never happen, the old Somali Muslim declared, “God is powerful,” and insisted it’s in Allah’s plan to make the USA an Islamic nation.
“Over my dead body will America become an Islamic country,” Rubin defiantly replied.
A pair of men who were either police officers or security guards eventually arrived to ensure the confrontation did not escalate into violence, with one of them telling Rubin his family has been in Ohio since before the Revolutionary War.
Asked how he feels about the Somali fraud being exposed in Minnesota, Ohio and other states, the man explained, “I am a veteran of the United States Army. I swore an oath to protect the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic. That includes the First Amendment, the freedom of the press and the freedom of speech. That also means I took an oath to defend American law.”
He continued to go on an epic rant, stating, “American law says that if people are in this country illegally, we have the right to remove them. There’s a poster in there that says anti-ICE. That is advocating for the violation of United States law… If people who are not American citizens don’t like that law, you’re free to leave.”
Near the end of the video, the American veteran told Rubin, “I am pissed. I am pissed that people like this come into this country and defraud this country, and this goes against EVERYTHING that I fucking gave 11 years of my life for!”
