Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.) on Friday filed an official request for globalist George Soros and his Open Society Foundations Senior Vice President Leonard Benardo to testify before Congress for their role in the “conspiracy to sabotage President Donald Trump’s 2016 election and presidency.”
Rep. Burchett asked House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) to invite Soros and Benardo to come in for a public hearing before the Committee and to subpoena them if they refuse.
As the congressman noted, “DNI Tulsi Gabbard recently declassified evidence of a conspiracy by former President Obama, Hillary Clinton and the national security apparatus to manufacture and politicize intelligence to subvert President Trump and the will of the American people.”
The declassified documents revealed an email where Benardo appeared to play a key role in plotting to discredit President Trump.
“Considering the Open Society Foundations’ continued influence on U.S. elections, I respectfully request you invite Mr. Soros and Mr. Benardo to testify in a public hearing before the Committee,” Burchett wrote to Comer.
In the documents, Clinton reportedly supported launching a false story about Russian hackers targeting the U.S. election in order to help Trump get elected and to demonize both the Republican candidate and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
