A Democrat Cincinnati council woman has sparked outrage over a social media post where she claimed the victims of last week’s vicious jazz festival assault had it coming.
According to a Facebook screenshot circulating on social media, Cincinnati City Council President Pro Tem Victoria Parks, 67, celebrated the viral footage showing a black mob attacking a white man and woman.
“They begged for that beat down! I am grateful for the whole story,” Parks wrote, according to the screenshot. (As yet, police have not indicated what started the altercation, so it’s unclear what “whole story” she’s “grateful” for.)
One shocked commenter replied, “you are on city council? And you make a statement like this?”

Another commenter argued, “The woman who was punched didn’t ask for this.”
Parks’ comments were highlighted by Vice President J.D. Vance’s half-brother and Cincinnati mayoral candidate Cory Bowman.
“Actual social media comments made by a sitting member of Cincinnati City Council,” Bowman captioned the screenshot.
In another Facebook post, Parks blamed President Donald Trump after a mob of black men stripped and beat a man for saying the n-word in a bar.

An X re-post highlighted by Zero Hedge showed Parks is also a rabid anti-Trumper:

She also supports other commie causes like free housing, and touts how she got Cincinnati to recognize “racism” as a public health crisis:

The city council president pro tem’s remarks come as Cincinnati’s police chief earlier this week chastised the media over their coverage of the incident, accusing them of distorting the story by basing reports off of the viral video.
Here’s the viral footage from Saturday of the white couple’s brutal beating outside the Cincinnati Jazz Festival that sparked everything:
This is absolutely unacceptable! #Downtown #Cincinnati, Ohio, Friday night! #fight erupts with people being jumped and outnumbered!

Police have arrested three people in connection with the attack as of Tuesday, including Montianez Merriweather, 34 (pictured left), DeKyra Vernon, 24 (center), and Jermaine Matthews, 39 (right) – all booked on aggravated riot and assault charges.

Fox19.com has more details on the criminal complaints against the assailants:
Details on Matthews’ case are not yet filed in the court record, but criminal complaints allege police charged the other two suspects based on their investigation and video evidence.
- Merriweather was “identified on video punching (the) victim while co-defendants are stomping the victim in the head with his foot.”
- Vernon “struck (the) victim in the face with a closed fist prior to the victim becoming unconscious from the attack.
Earlier this week, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi directed the FBI to investigate the incident.
“The FBI has been and will continue closely coordinating with the Cincinnati Police Department on this matter,” the Bureau wrote in a statement to Fox News Digital.
Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dillon also said she would monitor the case to ensure federal hate crime laws are applied if necessary.
With city leaders like Parks, it’s no wonder Cincinnati appears to be going to hell in a hand basket.
