Freedom Watch Great Britain founder Montgomery Toms and journalist Will Coleshill were recently attacked by a radical leftist while debating students at the London College of Communication campus.
Toms was sitting at a table and speaking with a student when a man approached him from behind and flipped the table over, breaking the crew’s cameras in the process.
Coleshill then stepped in to defend Monty and restrained the individual under a citizen’s arrest.
“This was lawful and justified. The individual had already assaulted Monty, damaged property, and posed a clear risk of further harm or fleeing before police arrived. All legal criteria for a citizen’s arrest were met,” the Freedom Watch 𝕏 account wrote.
Next, university staff and students started attacking Coleshill in an attempt to free the culprit while the assailant bit the journalist’s arm.
The suspect was eventually able to break free and escape thanks to the people on campus who attacked Coleshill.
“Drinks were thrown at William by other LCC students, and he was further assaulted and grabbed, forcing Monty to intervene and pull off those restraining and attacking William,” Freedom Watch noted.
Toms called the police and shared his side of the story, with an officer suggesting the activists were asking for trouble after learning they support mass deportations in Britain.
When the policeman was shown the banner the group displayed on their table, reading, “Britain Needs Mass Deportations. Prove Me Wrong,” the cop said, “That’s going to rile people up now, isn’t it? If you don’t want things to kick off, I suggest you don’t create the situation where people are gonna be upset.”
“So, we have to live in a society where we can’t say what a leading polling party in the country says?” Toms asked.
The activist was referring to Nigel Farage’s Reform Party UK calling for mass deportations.
At one point Colehill asked police officers if they were going to arrest the man who assaulted him, and the cops instead shoved and arrested him for filming the incident.
Colehill shouted that his ancestors fought two world wars for English citizens to have the right to free speech and accused the police of being “criminals” who targeted him after seeing the banner supporting deportations.
A large crowd of university anti-free speech leftists cheered as Colehill was dragged away and thrown into a paddy wagon.
The assailant who started the chaotic scene was never arrested and was allowed to walk free.
