Trump’s Peace Summit With Zelensky & European Leaders Green-Lights Future Putin / Zelensky Meeting

The topic of land secession by Ukraine has been the main stumbling block in peace negotiations, with neither Kiev nor Moscow budging on the topic.

While the topic of land swaps has not yet been resolved, a future meeting between Trump, Putin and Zelensky is now in the works which will likely aim to hammer out that critical detail.

Ukraine’s Dictator Vladimir Zelensky and European leaders have met with President Donald Trump at the White House. Trump was seeking to convince the West to sign onto a peace deal following his Pursuing Peace summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday, however a peace deal was not solidified. Monday’s meeting was able set the stage for a future meeting between Putin and Zelensky which may result in a lasting peace.

The meeting has concluded and Trump issued a summary statement of the day’s event:

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, of Ukraine, President Emmanuel Macron, of France, President Alexander Stubb, of Finland, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, of Italy, Prime Minister Keir Starmer, of the United Kingdom, Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Friedrich Merz, President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and Secretary General of NATO, Mark Rutte, in the White House, which ended in a further meeting in the Oval Office. During the meeting we discussed Security Guarantees for Ukraine, which Guarantees would be provided by the various European Countries, with a coordination with the United States of America. Everyone is very happy about the possibility of PEACE for Russia/Ukraine. At the conclusion of the meetings, I called President Putin, and began the arrangements for a meeting, at a location to be determined, between President Putin and President Zelenskyy. After that meeting takes place, we will have a Trilat, which would be the two Presidents, plus myself. Again, this was a very good, early step for a War that has been going on for almost four years. Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, are coordinating with Russia and Ukraine. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

The issue of territory swaps will be addressed with Putin in the upcoming meeting.

Zelensky has now concluded his meeting with Trump, calling it the best meeting so far and categorized the mood as “warm”.

Zelensky is outlining several of the topics that were discussed in his meeting at the White House.

They included the “key issue” of “security guarantees” which would be a necessary “starting point for ending war”.

The US will be among those countries providing guarantees, he says.

The European leaders appear supportive of a future peace summit featuring Trump, Putin and Zelensky. Trump held a 40 minute phone call with Putin in which the Russian President also said he is in support of such a meeting. Trump himself discussed holding such a meeting on August 11. It is now reported that Trump has started arrangements for Putin and Zelensky to meet.

While the meeting between Trump and the Europeans has ended, sources in the Ukrainian delegation at the White House told the BBC that Trump and Zelensky are still in the building for more talks “possibly in a different format.”

The White House streamed a live feed of the multilateral meeting:

Trump said that the next step to attain peace will be a meeting between himself, Putin and Zelensky.

Zelensky originally said that territorial swaps will be discussed in the multilateral meeting but at that multilateral meeting he then said that the issue can be discussed at a future meeting with Trump, Putin and himself.

Trump said that he does not believe that there are threats of “further aggression” against Ukraine.

Zelensky said that his meeting with Trump has been very productive.

Trump said a peace agreement is attainable.

Trump made a powerful statement regarding the unelected European Union government leader being more powerful than the national leaders she rules over.

Trump has reportedly met with Zelensky behind closed doors after his public encounter with the Dictator. According to the White House schedule, no joint statement is expected afterward.

Trump declared that Ukraine will not join NATO but that NATO will pay for American weapons supplied to Ukraine.

“I just spoke to President Putin indirectly, and we’re going to have a phone call right after these meetings today,” Trump said while meeting with Zelensky. “And we may or may not have a trilat. I think if we have a trilat, there’s a good chance of maybe ending it. But he’s expecting my call when we’re finished with this meeting.”

Zelensky was asked about his refusal to hold elections with Trump making a quip about the Dictator’s lack of elections.

European Union leaders arrived at the White House following a meeting with Zelensky at the Ukrainian embassy in Washington DC.

“European leaders will be at the White House to back up Zelensky, a clear effort by Ukraine’s allies to prevent the meeting from going off the rails like the infamous one involving Zelensky, Trump and Vice President Vance in February,” The Hill said.

Zelensky began Monday’s peace summit in Washington DC by meeting with Trump’s special envoy to Ukraine Gen. Keith Kellogg.

I thank @GeneralKellogg for the meeting and for the joint work with our team. President Trump invited Ukraine and other European countries to Washington today – this is the first meeting in such a format, and it is very serious. When peace is discussed for one country in Europe, it means peace for all of Europe. We are ready to continue working with maximum effort to end the war and to ensure reliable security. These are the key issues. Last night, Russian attacks on our cities continued – among those killed were two children, and dozens of people were wounded. People were simply sleeping when the Russian army launched strikes on the cities. We discussed the battlefield situation and our strong diplomatic capabilities – Ukraine’s and all of Europe’s together with America. Russia can only be forced into peace through strength, and President Trump has that strength. We have to do everything right to make peace happen. Thank you!

There has been speculation as to if Ukraine’s Dictator would wear a business suit to Monday’s meeting, however Zelensky was spotted in an all-black emo-style outfit characterized by a t shirt and what are potentially cargo pant-style military trousers.

In February the Dictator came to Washington and disrespected America in the White House while wearing a black dictator outfit.
